Now semi-retired ..... my past employment record is rather lengthy. My first job was driving a Peerless Laundry truck but I was picking up too many dirty habits at St. Joe's convent. I then studied to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patience. Then I worked for a veterinarian, but he let me go - said I was doggin' it. I worked as a TV weatherman in Rhinelander but the pressure got to me - too many highs and lows. The local paper was looking for a photographer - I applied, but nothing developed. Someone suggested working at a bank, but I had no interest. Moved to Florida and got a job at an orange juice plant - was canned after just two weeks because I couldn't concentrate. After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it ... mainly because it was just a so-so job and I thought I'd loose my buttons if I stayed there too long. Next I tried working at Midas Muffler but that was too exhausting. I took a job at the Firestone store in town, but got tired of that real quick. Worked as the elevator operator in the Zuelke building but experienced too many ups and downs. Drove a cab for a while but it was too taxing on my nerves. DeWall wanted me to become a fireman, but I didn't like all the hoes hangin' around the station. Then I tried to become a chef - figured it would add a little spice to my life, but I just didn't have the time and the other guy in the kitchen was half-baked. I attempted to work in a deli, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't meet their expectations. Always needing bread though, I landed in a bakery, but they had me making cherry pies all day - that was the pits. My next job was as a musician, but I eventually realized I wasn't noteworthy and the other guys in the band were just stringing me along. I then ended up in a shoe factory; but after sizing things up I can honestly say I tried but I just didn't fit in. Next I became a professional fisherman, but after three years I discovered I couldn't live on my net income. I managed to get a good job with a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining. So then I got a full-time position at a health club, but they said I wasn't fit for the job. After six months of trying to find steady work, I finally got a job at the library as a historian, but soon realized there was no future in it. My last job was working.at a Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same ol' grind. What a life!
Couldn't hold a job but have a wonderful wife, Diane and two great kids.

Diane and I have a daughter, Cassandra, and a son, Beau. Both are still in college. I had open heart surgery (aortic valve replacement) in 2008, but am ready for another 68 years. Retired about five years ago (the better part of 40 years in radio) but now work part-time driving cars around the state from airport to airport for National Car Rental.
