What joy it'll be to reconnect with everybody. The older I get, the more shared history matters.

I retired after 27 years as a journalist. Now I take great pleasure in bringing my standard poodle, Zach, to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he is a therapy dog in the cardiac care center. I also spend lots of time being the traveling grandma for our eight grandchildren.
